About Beth
Elizabeth is an Osteopathic Physician of Internal Medicine with additional board certifications in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. She completed undergraduate training at Oklahoma Baptist University, and medical school training at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed Fellowship training at Scott and White Memorial Hospital, in Temple, Texas.
Elizabeth joined Circle of Life in the Spring of 2021, and through the guidance of Master Lama Rasaji, became a student of Master David Paul in the Fall of 2021. Her interest in the practice of Tai Chi Gung was strengthened as she experienced for herself the release of stress, relaxation and inner calm after each class. Her journey with Tai Chi Gung has been further fueled by an ongoing desire to understand the physical body, and its connection to energy, vitality, and longevity. Participating in the Tai Chi Gung classes taught by Master David Paul guided her to experience for herself the flow of energy pathways thru the body, and has become an evolving journey to balance and encourage that flow of energy for health and healing.
During 2020-2022, as the medical field was overwhelmed, Elizabeth became more grounded in her faith, and the practice of Tai Chi Gung brought her physical and inner peace, calm and stillness; peace beyond understanding, and an ability to bring that stillness into in her daily life. She began to contemplate where medicine was going, where she should be, and how to get there. After years of service in modern medicine, she asked the Heavenly Father, “How do I learn to heal Your way?”.
Osteopathic medicine gave Elizabeth a foundation for the interconnection of the systems of the body, and the benefits of manual medicine. Tai Chi Gung included and expanded upon this foundation to introduce a philosophy of meridians and chakras, a spiritual foundation for each of the Tai Chi Gung exercises, and the ultimate integration of the most complete approach to overall health and wellness.
“Tai Chi Gung is a system of doing. As Master Lama Rasaji says, “Do the thing, get the power. You don’t do, you don’t get”. I look forward to bringing my spirit, mind, and body to the highest frequency to be able to receive and send out the Heavenly Father’s greatest blessings. The benefits of Tai Chi Gung, physically and spiritually, are truly a Divine gift.”
A little reflection on my Tai Chi Gung journey
I now have three Books of Life (journals on my experiences with Tai Chi Gung and Circle of Chi) ever evolving, so be assured the recording of experiences on this journey is accelerating exponentially. Time has flown since I was first exposed to Master Lama Rasaji and Master David Paul. It has been since Spring of 2021, coming up on 2 years fast at the time I am writing this testimonial. I had to warm up to the 45 Day Renewal over several months. I don’t recall having had an issue with doing the Tai Chi Gung exercises or prayer daily. The Tai Chi Gung exercises brought so much relaxation and peace that they had me at hello. Prayer was always very important, but in contrast, now it is done with very specific intent. And initially, I did not consistently dedicate time to walk or spend time in nature.
As the months passed, I became more and more consciously aware of the flow of Chi in, around, and through me, as well as the breath. I know from experience that if you practice Tai Chi Gung regularly that ability will come, and it shows up unexpectedly. I didn’t have to be perfect. Forgive yourself and forgive others comes to mind…Spirit met me where I was, and led me forward on this path. I became more and more fascinated with the flow of the lifeforce in the body physically, and the mind’s impact on that flow on a whole new level.
I now look at everything in life and in others very differently. I am expectant for new knowledge and wisdom in everyone and in everything I encounter every day. I look for the Divine in every one and in everything. I search for the parallels and flow of energy. I feel vitality, and radiate it. People I interact with regularly or for the first time respond to me differently than 2-3 years ago, so the evolution manifesting is noticeable outside of myself.
Now, I purposefully spend more time in nature than I used to, in order to ground and center (that has been a lesson well learned over time…the doing and the abstaining, and weighing the difference…the contrast is notable). In particular, winter months have been more challenging to balance because it is difficult to tolerate freezing weather to be outdoors. I’ve learned that with more energy comes much more responsibility.
I would like to take a moment to thank the Lamasery in Darchen, Tibet (Maha Lama Boyang, the Master Lamas, the Lamas, the Masters, and the Adepts), and my teachers, Master Lama Rasaji, Master David Paul, and their team for sharing their time and energy with me and the Circle of Chi family. I am experiencing new horizons, Heaven on Earth, and the journey of all journeys because of their generosity with their time, and their phenomenal dedication to teaching the principles and practice of Tai Chi Gung. Master Lama Rasaji and Master David, to you I say, “Abba knows how much you are loved, appreciated, and respected by all of your students. I find myself perpetually in awe of you”.
